After 4.5yrs my Samsung blu ray player/cinema system seems to be dying. It wont read some of my discs, will only load he title screen on others and it's newest trick is playing the menu music with no picture. Is it dead or can it be saved?

Anybody here repair or know somebody who does repairs? Been offered a 2011 Macbook Pro, only snag is it needs the graphics chip replaced on the logic board, is this a reasonably inexpensive repair? (vs the cost of buying a new macbook) Any help/advice much appreciated
