No, I mean tugging like it has no power dont think its a cable

recently as i've been leaving my house my car has started to tug even when i put my foot fully down. it still revs but doesnt pick up much speed and feels like somethings trying to slow it down. it happens for 20seconds or so then continues as normal... any ideas on what the problem could be...
