today i had the rear seats down and noticed somethings been welded up, on closer inspection it seems that the welds are bolts, that hold the rear axel on? but it dosent seem to fit to well....
hard to explain, any 1 have any ideas?
just been looking through the wad of reciepts i got with car, i noticed a reciept for "replace UCH" i remember reading something on here about uch and cruise control... will this be why mine wont work?
would this effect traction control or will that still work?
on idle my car seems abit lumpy... it runs nice and smooth then suddenly it will run lumpy for a second or 2 then back smooth and so on... almost as if its miss firing?..... what would cause this? coil pack?
my car recently showed the toxic gas light on the dash, the codes were read and it came back on the clip as " DF024 Vehicle speed sensor circuit" the cars been feeling really hard to to pull away (almost stalls) especially when going from 1st to reverse! also seems quite jerky when shifting...
my clio seems to want to stall when pulling away, its almost as if when i press the accelerator, the revs dip before increasing, its actually hard to pull away with out thinking your going to stall. it seems worse in reverse for some reason...
also when changing gears, its like when you release...

as above, my toxic gas? warning lights on, i believe its prob the lambda sensor, so i was going to have a go at cleaning them and maybe swapping them round today? just wondering if i manage to cure it.. would the light go out, or would it have to be reset?
just been attempting to fit my apex springs, the top bolt on 1 of the suspension struts is unbelivably stuck, ive snapped 2 allenkeys (ment to be lifetime guarantee as well!) and still stuck!

is there a way i can test my heater fan? i thought i had a problem with the resistor pack, but i connected pins 1 and 5 together to test heater on full, any nothing happenes.. so im guessing its something to do with the fan motor its self, but before forking out for a new 1, is there a way to...
my fan only works occasionally and only on full, 98% of the time it wont turn on at all though.
i thought it must be the resistor pack, so i bought the new mosfet from maplins and soldered it in place of the old 1, put it all back and it still wont work :(

Just bought my self a clio 172 last monday, ive been a non paid member of this forum for quite a while, but became a paid member couple of nights ago.
loving the car (apart from the odd niggle like heater resistor pack not working)
its pretty much standard at the minute, i dont plan on doing...
just signed up to have a look through the forums, im on the look out for ph1 172, was ment to look at a couple today but 1 sold and the other dosent have any history what so ever!! on 80k miles, so i turned it down!
only looking to spend around £1700/£1800, seen a few good ones go for that so...
