just been to test drive another 172, and it idles a little weird. when started cold or warm it sits at about 1000/1100 rpm, but when you are coming to a stop the idle goes up to 200rpm and sits ther until you blip the throttle. what could be causing this? the temp gauge sits on the dot below...

Just been for a test drive in a 225 megane...and compared to the 172.... WOW what a difference! the first thing i noticed was how quick it accelerates compared to the clio in the first 3 gears when the turbo comes on boost = :eek: :D :D :D then came a different suprise...it is a bus...

i bought a clio 172 the other month...but now have spotted a black megane rensport 5dr that is far more suitable for the family...so need a valueation :rolleyes: car is clio 172 ff completely standard! :) :rasp: 66k miles mint exterior + interior 11 months mot + 4 months tax had the belts...

ive had enough of this piece of s**t! just done a 60 mile trip to ikea and back down the motorway and 2 miles from my junction at 75mph it jumps out of 5th gear.... so i put it back in to 5th and then low and behold 2 minutes later...the foooker jumps out again... Why hasnt it done it all...

i want a full exhaust system (cat back..with decat) and want a performance increase. what i dont want however is a lot of noise. i want it to be as quiet as possible.... what can you recomend?

love the look of lowered suspension, but i hate the ride quality. is there any suspension sets out there that will lower the car...but still stay soft over the bumpy bits..(dont drive fast)
