after reading lots of threads on having the cambelt changed i know that there is alot of specialist tools required but i need to know if there are any other parks i need for the?
iv been to reno today and brought me a cambelt kit and a aux belt kit. do i need any seals or anything else...
right,
1st. just been to halfrauds and they dont do a rear wiper blade to fit my clio (52 172).
does anywhere else do them or will i have to go to reno?

under the passenger wing mirror there is a little rubber nipple,
whats it for ?
gave my car a real good clean this morning, came up gorgeous.
the only thing i noticed is the little "2.0 16v" badges on the stips on the doors are looking a bit dull and mottled (sp?).
what do you clean yours with? iv tried abit of autosol but it didnt seems to manage it.
my mic for my handsfree kit has packed in, iv got another1 from ebay. i need to take of the drivers side pillar cover to get it up to by the interior light.
are there any special clips or screws anywhere? or do i just pull?
might be a silly question but im going to get a new battery the weekend to try stop my trip reseting itself, will i need to reset anything when i change the battery and more importantly will i need any codes?
iv found a local independant garage that has all the required tools to change my cam belt and aux belt (just in case) on my 172.
while hes got it hes going to service it for me to.
im going to get all the bits i need and what i need to know is everything i require and if renault is the best...
my 172 steering wheels is abit battered, the little rubber bits are starting to split and the leather is going abit tatty.
can you get replacement? and are they mega dear because of the airbag?
phoned reno today just for a price on a 48k service and a cambelt change,

need some new mats in the 172, anyone know of the tlop of their head how much reno do them for? and if they are stupid money a good website to get some quality ones from.
had the 172 3 days and theres already an annoying noise, when i start it theres a buzzing from the interior light pod,
any ideas?

Picked up my ff 172 this morning and it very impressed with it so far.
always been a big jap fan and had a bad impretion of french cars but after playing in it today iv been converted 100%. makes my ctr and mr2 feel slow and sloppy,

how do they work with the heat reflective screens? do you just hav to buy a small one that will fit by the cut out at the bottom of the screen or can you buy a gps reciver to put their and locate the unit somewhere else in the car?
saw a 172 advertised on the trader which looked very nice from the photos, phoned him and after he had assured me it was in excellent condition i decided it was worth the 110 mile round trip.
got there and it was abag of poo!
all 4 wheels kerbed badly, 2 rips in the seats, and he didnt know...
found a 172 51 plate on the trader not to far from me, only done 25k and its mint but the owner has no service history whatsoever, he asking 5.5k
would anyone go for this without history? and if so what do you think i should be paying for it?
im currently looking to buy a 172, only problem is id like a cup but i much prefer the satndard 172 interior, did they do the cup with the leather/alacantara?
