Some one on here is bound to know the answer to this; washed the car this morning, dry it off and park it in the shade to apply Meguirer's Polish. Goes on and off no problem. Then I apply the Carnuba wax. Just as I get the last bit on the car (so it is totally covered in the stuff) the rain...
Just wondering if it can be done or if the cost makes it a no brainer compared to the systems now available from Halfords/Comet/Argos/Ebay and the like?
I'm thinking about sticking a non standard issue plate on my V6 and in the most unimaginitive way I thought I could get one that starts with V6 ___. :)
These little suckers are about £400 for a 5 digit format. The letters that relate closest to my initials are not available but I could get...
What's the best stuff for getting my silver V6 to sparkle?

For around £20k or less there are some decent cars – without giving it too much thought I came up with these:
• Boxster
• M3
• M Coupe
• Maserati 3200
• Trophy...
Is black nasty, blue too common, sparkly red too fortysomething, grey unfinished, silver too common – what colour suits the king of chav chariots best?
I am on the edge of doing it.
At present I am running around in a very nice Lotus Elise. Before that it was an Alfa GTV V6. I love my driving and am every bit a true petrolhead. What I like about the Lotus:
• Unbelievable handling and very quick to a point (about 120)
• Relatively cheap to...
