for the past couple of weeks there has been a clicking sound when starting the car. Now when turning the ignition on the car isn't turning over at all. fuel pump is still priming.
Any ideas?
As above, seems like its driving into a force 10 gale. I can only describe it to be wavy power, like its being released then held back in an even cycle. Any ideas?
right, Ive had both front bearing replaced in the last year, but now Ive got a constant 'rotational rumble' at 40-50 mph which is definately speed related- seeems to sound like its getting faster as I do. Its coming from the passenger side so could it be the drive shaft?
Ahh 16v problems, love em. This one is most apparent between 40-50 direction regardless, a rumble noise similar to wheel bearing which is one thought.
The other prob is what seems to be warped discs which can be felt through the brake pedal, could they be linked? cheers Dom
I know this has probably been asked a million times but I need new discs as mine are warped, I dont want to spend silly money just sensible replacements.
£56 on Ebay for Mintex + pads or GSF? Any ideas? Dom
jumped in it tonight to drive home from work but it wont start, there was no noise from the fuel pump and the one light on the dash which normally lights up didnt, looks like a heart monitor. What can it be, what can I do? Dom
Ive got judder in my brake pedal under moderate/hard braking, Ive taken the front wheels off and checked the run out which seems Ok with very very slight rubbing on the drivers side at one point.
Could this be enough to cause the judder? or could it be the rears?
could you recommend what to use on my laquered valver, because its a bit swirly, Im currently using Mer polish after a good wash and shammy with a synthetic thingy, cheers Dom
thought this would be solved by replacing pads/discs but it hasnt, its a clio 1.2 95n, when reversing/braking at very low speeds there is a vibration or grinding noise from the front. new clutch fitted too, any ideas?
Dom
1.2 95 clio, when coming to a stop and when reversing, Ive replaced discs and pads on the front and the clutch recently thinking it may be that. seems to come from the front but could it be the rear drums or shoes?
lower my valver 35mm, will it handle better or not as I get mixed opinions.
Its currently running on 195/45/15s cant wait to wear them out to get it back on 50s to fill the arches better.
