alternator maybe, change of load on it can make it slip, so changing gears etc. dunno about anything other than mk1s tho ;/

mine did this, passenger side of my mk1. i found it was because the pipe to the rear washer has a connector that just fell apart. if you pull off the trim on the passenger side of the car, by the back seat on the bottom, you'll find a yellow pipe, bet you anything its in 2 pieces :D just...

i'd also say go for clear vinyl :D its just stick on =) you can often see it on the intakes on the side of an elise

yeah my heater didnt work at all, flushed the system got alot of rust, but it still wasnt flowing well. you can feel the pipe going into the bulkhead, if it's too blocked up it'll stay pretty cold near the bulkhead and hot at the engine end. my solution was buying a new heater matrix...
