Competing on Sunday the 21st (this Sunday) at Weston Park near Telford, we are running car 36 - if you're near by come and say hi! First car is due at 0815 - please be very careful if you come as NO PARKING near the main entrance will be allowed, there is a speccy car park near the Park.
Hi Guys,
Sorry I've not been active on here for a few weeks - been out seeing to the car. Yeah unfortunately the event was cancelled due to lack of entries. Really annoyed but there's nothing we could have done - there was just simply not enough people to make the event financially feasible...
Brakes were built as a one-off. 300mm discs, AP Pro5000+ 4-pot calipers, bespoke bells and mounting brackets as I have seriously up-rated bottom rose-joints on the wishbones and the rose-joint housings stick out a long way.
They had to space the discs out by 3-4mm to make room for the joint...
It was a show car at Palmer Sport in the UK, built to EU spec though. It was never raced in anger, it sat in the show room in the Palmer Sport base at Bedford Autodrome. Was a mint shell, had done about 1 hours work when I had it!! Engine and box had less than 100 miles on it.
Hi Willy,
All I can say is talk to Andy at KTec (KTec on here) and he will be sure to sort you out. He knows everything you need to about the F4R - he's your man!
Our limiter is set at 7600 I think. You don't really want to rev them more than that with standard lifters/valves.
Hope this...
Thanks for the luck messages guys!
The standard final drive in the race cars is 17/55 IIRC. That gave me a top speed of 144mph (eventually) which I would never use on a rally stage. The reason I altered to a 12/55 was because I was planning on making the shell into kit-car spec, wide arched...
Engine pics on the project thread, so have a look on there.
The gearbox is an ST-75 second generation, ratios are standard cup race car ratios with a 12/55 final drive. Top speed at 7600rpm is 109mph on 15' Kumhos with a o/a diameter of 580mm and 883 revs/mile.
The diff is the sadev plated...
Yeah mainly just the Midlands Championship, but there are a few rallys that I stray north for - The Jim Clark later in the year which is a big closed-public-road stage rally in the Scottish Boarders, the Pendragon stages at Penrith, Neil Howard stages at Blyton near Gainsborough. I'll let people...
I won't be there Jonny, its a round of the norther rally championships though. Google the North West Stages Rally, there should be plenty of info on the website!
As for the ITB's, they will stay with the current engine, but the whole thing will be up for sale as a complete unit.
Rally Cams...
Its the NorthWest stages this weekend I think, over in Blackpool and around Weeton IIRC. Pendragon is normally August/September time up in Penrith.
Tony, the stages did run 3 loops at one point during the stage, but the main problem was seeding - as you can see by number 56 on the door, I was...
