I've got the same thing...was sure it was some sort of induction noise (mainly as soudns when you boot it), but looking at the weekend it seems to be either the cat or mid-exhaust.
As for the manuals, i spent ages looking for a decent Clio 182 manual, and finally bought the one on ebay...they are also sold by the chap on here. Being honest, it's about 5000 pages of content, and very hard to find anything specific you want on it. The 172 & 182 stuff is all mixed together...
I've used Solent Wheels in Ampfield (on the main Romsey road) numerous times.. Prices start at £55 a corner, and i've never had anything but an excpetional service from them. They get booked up very quickly, but well worth it.
