    Should the outside temperature be showing?

    Never resolved. Sensor resistance changed so assuming that worked. Never had a reply to the cable pinouts once in the car, and have not looked at tracing the cables back yet!

    Just wondered what sensor this is please?? I understand the oil level sensor is to the left of the filter but need to know the one on the other side. Cheers in advance!

    Thanks again! From what I can see there are no specialist tools needed to do this? Is it essential to remove the air box to see the inner CV boot?

    That might be a good shout actually. The MOT had advisories for both 'CV gaiters deteriorated'. Maybe one/both have given up! Is this a big(expensive) job to do?!

    Looks that way!! Haha Engine oil level is fine. Haven't checked the gearbox level yet as this involves taking the air box out?! From what I understand anyway...!

    Thanks for the reply. Car is running fine and I will do some investigating tomorrow. Just hoping to get some advice on here beforehand! Maybe best to clean it off and see where it appears from...?
