Hi thanks I will check this, I got a little confused when I said topped the oil I topped the engine oil not the gearbox, I have been out looking tonight and I think it's coming out of the breather on the top of the gearbox.

If you have those symptoms and have changed the coils with still no joy then try cleaning the throttle body...this has cured mine. Runs smooth now, it was sticking and not opening and closing properly due to carbon build up. Just thought I would share to stop people trying harder more costly...

I'm in hertfordshire, I have just replaced all 4 coil packs and it still won't work. When I give it a quick jab on the throttle it has a split second delay and an air sucking noise, then revs.... then runs for a while, dies with the coil light and then revs itself to 2k.

Yep, it feels like when your on ice and the pedal gives resistance whist grinding when applying preasure to the brake pedal. Is this costly? I really don't want to go to an offical Renault garage. Cheers, Ross
