    injector query 172 phase 2!

I had an injector go on my 172 but thankfully the local scrapyard had one in for breaking. I popped up there and whipped it off but upon comparing the injectors they differ. The ones I have at the moment have 4 pin hole nozzles but the others have 2! Did Renault change the design at some point...

    Toooo low???

I actually got them from here; http://www.cartuningpoint.de/ nobody in the uk could come close on price. They also have an eBay shop that is easier to navigate as it's in English ;)

Was thinking that after reading a post yesterday, 1 MAJOR thing puts me off though..... I have a serious carbon fetish! :o Cheers for the PM, you've had some tidy cars.

    Toooo low???

The Polo sounds interesting, if you have any pictures could you PM some over? Wouldn't mind seeing that. A CF splitter is on the list, but I have another project that’s sapping all my funds, so that’ll have to wait :dapprove: I agree with the handling side of things, it has impaired it...

    Toooo low???

Yes, maybe spacers wasn't the correct term, they are 4-5 stud adaptor spacers. Appreciate the view, but tbh I think they look sweet, and I would still have them if they were 4 stud and Renault wheels, fair enough the offset wouldn’t be as extreme but that can be sorted It’s nice to be...

    Toooo low???

H&R 25mm spacers all round, rolled and slight pull to the rear arches and a bit of a bumper trim. On the fronts I haven't touched a thing. No arch liners removed from front or rear either :D

    Toooo low???

Thanks for the comments guys, seems we have mixed results though, Doh!! I can't actually lower the front or higher the rear as it stands as its running on springs (custom rears) and not coilies. Think I might make some adaptors to raise the rear and see how it looks, can then buy springs to...

    Toooo low???

Evening all, after a few opinions on the below; I know it’s not to everyone’s taste, but please try and be nice ;) Been running on the standard wheels for a while, but was offered a set of wheels with the same size tyres as I already had, thought its always good to have a spare set, so off I...

Hi, I'm after a standard head unit for my 2001 172 but am unsure as to which one I need!! I have seen various advertised and want to make sure I get the right one; Cabasse, tuner list, tuner list plus blah blah blah I also want to be able to control my iPod from the stalk and have info on...

    The JDM Appreciation Thread...

Had I of known about this thread I wouldn't have ranted on elsewhere! Some serious cars in here and loving the RX on the previous page, very nice; always has a soft spot for them really. As its a JDM thread here are a couple of my mine, The scooby was running around 430bhp and the Mak around...

172 standard exhaust, really noisy, why?

I wouldn't even contemplate buying new from Renault, but hoping to find a half decent second hand one; although from posts I’ve seen here the quality isn't that great, so as you say chances are slim! Its more the noise or lack of that I’m after, which is why I haven't looked into after market...

172 standard exhaust, really noisy, why?

Well, I can confirm that the exhaust does indeed have 2 resonators as first thought but they aren't standard; after finally coming across a thread with a standard 172 exhaust, the 2 are very different. Looks like I have a standard (albeit cheap) back box mated to an after market centre section...
