Hi,
can anybody tell me if the the BMW throttle valves used in the N46-B20 engines are compatible in terms of electrical behaviour with the throttle valve that is used by Renault Sport in Clio II RS Ph.2+3, Clio III RS and the Twingo II RS (8200110998)? Mechanically it seems to fit.

I´m searching for areplacement for the T1Rs that I currently using for the on my Clio A, but in a not very common size. It´s 195/55R14V. In the past I had the Yoko A510 that was a really great tire, but it´s discontinued since over 10 Years...any alternative...??
I think only the intake manifold won´t fit, as the lower part is different from the models that have the throttle at the back. It´s common to the K4M with the throttle at the side (MeganeII, ClioIII). What you would need is also the lower part and then also injection rail and maybe injectors.

Anyway I would have expected also more low-end torque as the length of the duct between throttle and air-filter is now longer than with the initial configuration and so the resonance frequency should be shifted to lower frequencies what means lower revolutions....but that´s the difference...
End of this season I put now black Gordini stripes on my clio...
and also the K4M is now running a little cooler. I installed a 83°C Thermostat and a thermo-switch 77°C/87°C.
Normally you need oil, filter, a new copper ring as gasket for the sump plug, the wrench for the sump plug (it´s not a inner hexagon, it´s a square 8x8mm) and a wrench for the oil filter.
This are both cat-back systems! Including mid-scection and rear muffler. Read it carefully!
And believe me, in this EuroIV engines the catalyst (in average there are 500 cellers used) is generating at least half of the complete back pressure. The other thing ist, the back pressure depends on...
Yes and it was dyno-developed and approved especially for his engine.....good joke...
For me, there won´t change anything, if he puts the 172 system under his 1.2. No loss of power and no difference in Sound....
Then I only wonder why sport back boxes for the 1.2 to 1.6 (including Diesels) are mostly the same if it´s sooooo specific...
