I had the same problem like a loud clonking noise. i replaced the near side drive shaft which cost me £25 from a renault and peugot specialist but has turned out to be the gearbox aswell so i am waiting for that to be replaced at the moment. Then i will back on the road. Its been a month off...

Help Are the drive shafts in a valver different from other clios or can you use one from any similar year clio in a valver Cheers Kevin

To be honest i dont know my mate sold them to me with nearly new new tyres for £150 so i didnt ask many questions.

My valver has gone in eventually to get fixed and i need to makje sure the gearbox i have is ok. the part number is jb1025 from a smaller engined renault clio (i assume) is it going to be ok in my valver, performance wise. Cheers kev
