The alternator power cables are known for snapping (big red one bolted to the side of the alternator) and the alternators are notorious for giving up all together.
Yeah mines on 110k feels brand new 😊. I just feel in a few years if I want to get hold of a good example I'll be paying more than my current one owes me.
I suppose they will be rising as the rarity increases but at what rate is anyone's guess, iv had so many cars 40 plus but right now iv got got a clio 182 FF (my second 182) and a blobeye impreza they are the best all round cars iv ever had both are good standard examples,Im renovating my house...
That's true the gap between the good and bad has increased but the cheap ones aren't as cheap as they have been. I have been considering selling my 182FF but I'm thinking I might just stick it in the garage with my impreza for what it owes me.

Just looking though some for sale ad's and noticed they seam to be demanding more on one that 12 months ago, I know some are overly priced by dealers etc. But the average price seams to have rose are they all being dragged up by the trophy's future classic status and there hi price?
Looking for a cheap set of roof bars that are easy to take on and off, just for picking up diy bits and pieces for doing my house up nothing to heavy. They are to fit a clio 182.

The big red wire to the alternator has a good connection, as the ring connection looked rusty I undone the nut and in the process snapped the ring off so I cut back to good new wire and put a new connection on had sparks and reads 12v. The small thin wire at the bottom of the altornator what...
