Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project [Year 3 - Engine and Chassis Rebuild]

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project Despite being from an ABS equipped car, the Laguna master cylinder has 4 M10 outputs. I was also surprised to see this. The non-ABS laguna master cylinder is like the one you have, two M10 and two M12 (i think) outputs. You did well in upgrading the...

Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project [Year 3 - Engine and Chassis Rebuild]

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project I have also upgraded to a 23.8mm master cylinder in my valver, but I used a mkI Laguna (with ABS) item. It only uses M10 threads, so it can be used with the standard brake lines and is a straight fit.

#2 looks very tidy! Any plans for it?

    My cadwell park pictures

Very nice pictures and a very nice cup car. ;) Awesome to see an old-school racer still going strong. :approve: Do you rev your engine up to 8000rpm? I suppose having a blueprinted engine helps, but I always thought that the standard valve springs and lifters didn't really like being pushed...

    1994 172'd Mk1 Valver Track Car

Read through your topic and it really made me want to go crazy with my valver and turn it into a full-on track car like yours. Amazing work and excellent result. I can only wish you the best of lucks with the upcoming F4R swap. Keep it up!

My Valver story so far... (Pic heavy!)

The topic hasn't been updated in a while. Since my last post I have fitted the Powerflex dogbone mount bushes. These were one of the best mods yet, reducing the engine movement. If they really last longer than the original items then it's great value for money. (excuse the crappy phone pics...)...

    Mk3 Pictures

This was my mk3 dci that I sold nearly a year ago...Kind of miss it, even though I don´t regret for one moment having traded it for the valver! :D With anthracite Ultraleggeras:

Has anyone here tried the powerflex bushes for the the dogbone mount? I'm thinking about getting them to stop the engine and gearbox play and I would appreciate feedback from someone who has tried it. :) Thanks in advance! ;)

My Valver story so far... (Pic heavy!)

Couldn´t really tell as the tyres were so bad I kept locking up the front wheels under braking...they showed no signs of brake fade though! :approve: @Pekes: Claro, quando o tempo tiver melhor temos de combinar isso! :D

My Valver story so far... (Pic heavy!)

The cams and headwork really let it breathe much better in high revs.:approve: Below 4k revs a standard valver will leave me behind though...But then I can pull strongly until the rev limiter, which has been set at 7500rpm and make up for what I lose in the lower revs. The fact that my remap...

My Valver story so far... (Pic heavy!)

Thank you very much for your kind comments! :D I'm getting it slightly striped today and ready for a track-day tomorrow. I'm not going all crazy, just taking out the rear seats, parcel shelf and spare tyre. Might just leave it like that for a while...:D

My Valver story so far... (Pic heavy!)

When I bought it it had about 220.000km in total, but the engine, gearbox and suspension had been rebuilt 15.000 Km before.

My Valver story so far... (Pic heavy!)

I'd like you to meet my mkI 1.8 16v. :) It's from 1993 but it's only had 3 owners (me included), and I've had it for nearly a year. It's in top condition, with leather interior and sunroof (although they can sometimes be a disadvantage considering I take it to 4-5 track-days each year, but...

    Hi everybody!

Hello, my name is João and I'm from Portugal. I'm 23 and I'm currently on my third Clio. :D My current car is a 1993 mkI 1.8 16v which I use as an everyday car and occasionally attend some track-days with it. It has a few mods and I'll post it up in the projects area soon. ;) Cheers!
