That sucks Mate, I wouldn't worry about the exhaust all that will happen is they will not pay for the exhaust system as in how much it cost you, I was in a head in this time last year (old man fell asleep while driving and pliers into me at 60mph) and my car was declared on coilovers and weels...
whats a "RB" , yeah i know i'd avoid poorly modded ones,
the cambelt wouldnt be an issue to change ive done a 20vt engine conversion on a mk2 golf amongst other numerous things pretty basic stuff tbh so it wouldn't be anything untoward
