i say go for it mate, if you really want the car and are prepared to pay the insurance then just do it. i got my 172 when i was 18 and paid £1300 insurance in my dads name with tescos, got my 182 cup when i 19 (still insured in my dads name). i aint crashed yet and most "older" people on here...
yet another 182 cup owner here, racing blue no stripes tho. loving ever minute it although had the SPORT badge from the back stolen last night :(
F**king people, why steal someones badge off there car. orded another one from Reno tho, £19.95 + vat. ( I HATE CHAVS )
anyone got any other info on this then i.e 0-60 time, any change in top end speed ?? i personally think this sounds quite promising and for £1800 cant be bad.
My 182 Cup.... Looking to sell my 182 Cup just wonded if you guys could give me a rough idea of what price I should look to get for it ! Im in no rush to sell it so will probably hold out for a good price !!
Details as follows:
182 Cup
2004 54 reg
just over 6k miles
All tyres have loads...
you can get anything on a fleet policy, a mate of mine had a fleet policy for one of his companys for a few years and had loads of different cars on including 172 and 182, tvr cerbera and merc slk 320.
i had a little go against one of these in my 182 cup and was pulling on it even past 100 (on private road of course;)) but then you can never tell could have been a bad driver. id be more concerned about the build quality differences myself.
cheers, for all your replies guys. im currently insured with tescos. havent phoned for any quotes yet but was thinking it was group 18 not 20 so as some of you say think i will struggle. think i will stick to the 182 for now:)
