Trying to respray my front bumper, and the paint code suggest the goodwood perl paint. tried this from Halfrauds, and the brooklands green metalic which are the only two renault greens they have but they both look much too dark (I have laquered them) Any ideas ?

Just finished the gearbox repair, and had the front off to fix a crack but now have one piece of plastic that I can't remember where it goes. Part number is "Calandra baffle (lid alternator) 8200068386" so it must go near the alternator, but ill be bugg@56ed if I can remember where. Anyone...

Idle control valve ?

When they fail, they can take some 'teeth' out of the belt. They look totally intact, well tensioned and undamaged until you remove it. Make sure the belt is removed and checked. Also, was the engine complete or have is it a mix and match.

Ah HA ! Managed to have a look at the car today, and where the stay from the chassis connects the gearbox has torn a lump out of the bell housing. Time to get ally welding, but its been 25 years since I last did any, and not ally at that. Any ideas ?

How long since the RR was calibrated ? did they account for temp and pressure correctly ?, RR's can have significant errors and 15hp is often seen between one and another.

Oooops Broke the gearbox. Only a 1.2 but something has snapped and I can only get 1st and 3rd and the gear leaver moves about a foot backwards when you lift off. It also makes a whirring sound with ocassional clanking. No oil leaking though. Will have to drop the box and have a look. Any...
