I bought ds2500 pads for my 200 last year and did four track days using them and found them to be great never faded even when out for 40mins not tried any of the really high end pads tho so can't comment only downside is an occasional squeak which you don't notice while driving.
Harsh but fair I think but they have only made one dog as opposed to a whole decade of them, if renault get there fingers out with a with a revised version of the mk4 all will be forgotten and the clio will be back on top, fingers crossed....
one of these could be a tempting option in 18 months time if all the negative press has a knock on effect on prices, could even be a cheaper option than an st of comparable age which would would defo even things up between the two of them, nice car fella, enjoy.
good driving mate, watched all the vids and compared them to mine and cant believe how well them Michelin slicks hold there line I had loads of fun but it was a constant battle to keep it on the track and I was still lapping 5 seconds a lap slower. must get new tyres...... hope to see you at...
totally agree the sales figures were poor I just think its a bit harsh making everyone suffer 5dr and auto box, they could have catered for everyone with a 3dr manual version, I really wanted the mk4 rs to be the top dog amongst the hot hatches and just cant get my head around it being battered...
