dash lights dimming? aux belt failure/alternator ceased? that would account for the noise/dimming,and with low voltage the wrong ecu signals,low fuel pressure,injector pulse etc etc,just a thought...

Id check wiring where it goes through the boot from car inside the rubber bit,as they can split in there and short,other place is check under bonnet by the headlight backing,but boot is more common i believe,hth

as said above tho it could be a wire breaking down,turn left with it jacked up and put a meter at each end of the wire on both os and ns sensor wire see if you get a connection when wiggling it???

i would say lambda sensor as this measures the af ratio and adjusts mixture,will cause the syptoms u have. if it was tdc it will not be be giving a signal=no spark/fuel pump as a rule. there is a rare occasion where it can come and go,but this is VERY rare as they work on magnetic pulse and...

had tis on rs2000 was wishbone bushes which are common fail on many cars,not huge play but even a tiny bit will spit it out on acceleration and when u lift off it will change steering as load comes off. i used to be able to change lane without turning steering whel,just using the throttle!!

driveshaft as speedo goes its driving the box so not clutch,id say driveshaft for sure or cv on its end has let go

get oil change done,moisture in oil goes into breather whn it dries out of oil as boils quicker and evaporates. gets there from short journeys and not getting up to norm temp which takes at least 20 mins driving.

could also be bad earth when comes on with brake pedal press
