Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
How much would this be worth roughly:
2004 Black gold 182 with both cup packs.
62k.
Mot til Nov 2011
Tax until June 2011
Full cambelt/dephaser/aux belt service at 60k.
Std anthracite wheels refurbed.
Interior and exterior in vgc.
Headlights corrected.
Ktec...
I want some decent dampers/coilovers on my 182, but finding the options are limited due to the cup pack bolt spacing.
I've noticed the b14 kit is reasonably priced but do you know if any companies can perfectly modify them to fit? I read somewhere that 'mark fish' is the man who can?? Can't...
I have had plenty of cars with braided hoses and you do get a slightly better 'pedal feel' especially when you get the brakes very hot.
I have recently changed my 182 brakes to brembo hc front disks and genuine Renault pads, genuine Renault oem rear disks and pads with ate superblue fluid. I...
Does anyone have any genuine experience of using these on a car purely used for fast road use? Are they worth the £2500 price tag? An are they reliable or do they require regular rebuilds?
Any info would be appreciated.
Dave.
I'm wondering this too. Who is that manufactures the oem cup packed dampers?? I know they are Renault oem, but are they outsourced to a company like bilstein?
So for a 182 everyday driver which is used for up to 2000 miles a month. Mainly city traffic/motorway commutes and crappy roads, with the occasional spanking... Would you go for sportlines or prolines?
Could be Tyre pressures, anti roll bar bushes, track rods, tie rods, steering rack or wishbone bushes. I had the same problem but pinpointed it down to ball joints
I have always used Bilstein B8 Dampers & Eibach springs on my cars:
On a Saxo Vts I used the Sportlines which were a little crashy on potholes.
On a Golf Gti Turbo I used the Pro-Kit which were a touch more refined.
Both handled extremely well.
Sorry for hi-jacking your thread but...
I'm with Bell, I'm 26 with 5 years NCB, been driving 9 years - clean license and it's costing £1040 per year for a standardish 182 FF.
Ridiculous. I was paying roughly that on my M3!
When my policy runs out in December i will be swapping to Post Office who quoted me at £450 for the year :)
