ok got the bearing and all that now, do they need to press the bearing in?. i have managed to get an extraction tool but not much good if i need to press the bearing in after i spose.

Afternoon All Looking at changing the ball joints at some point over the easter weekend. Can you buy just the individual ball joints from somewhere like euro car parts or gsf?. seen a few places further afield that do them but just much rather stay local if possible.

will give that a go, currently got 34 front and 32 rear, tad on the bumpy side. but then i guess cup suspension doesnt help with that :)

Evening all Just curious, for those running 17's what tyre pressures do you have?. Always had 17's on mine and never been what sure what pressure to run them at. They are 205, 40, 17's.

i think it comes on from memory and shortly goes out. still seems a total mystery but for the moment it starts.

is strange, hopefully it gets me home in a minute. not had the key coded in though, just tried it on the off chance that it might work.

just tried it with the new key and it starts!. did put the blade in from the old spare key though. goes to show renault are full of crap then, lol. weather it starts in the morning is a different thing though!

Evening All Bought a new key for my non starting 172 last night. Renault have said that they need the car as well to code it in?. What exactly do they do to it as shouldnt the key already be coded to the car?. Cheers Dave

totally agree, had the same on mine back in the snowy weather. changed coil pack/plugs (renault wanted for £140 for leads so they were last resort). actually had to pull over as i couldnt get up a hill it was so bad. RAC checked it and the ecu was picking up intermittent missfire. once...

cleaned all the relays and tried the reset with the internal lock switch. so looking like the decoder ring or a new key i guess.
