Hi all been lurking for a while but now have a Monaco blue 172 I'm building for track. Some may know one of my current cars which is a red Megane rs250 which has been an insane car for last 2 years but time to try a little revvy Clio.
Need a couple of bit like decent coilovers abd AC delete kit...
Get over to mini torque...I'm coming from a line of cooper s. R56 suffer a lot from coming issues and some people have had a nightmare with mini regarding the issue. Oil catch can seems to help with the issue but if your car has warranty I would contact mini to see if they cover with decoking them.
After detailing my pals trophy on Wednesday he took me out for a spin and I was very very surprised how well these little things go. A cup is deffo top of my list now :) however should I still look at standard 172s in that price range?
Coming from a fast cooper s, coilovers where always a yes and springs where a big no no. Are the cup shocks on the clios that good? I never had any issues with comfort on coilovers for road use but I had full adjustability for track. I'm always very interested in this as I'm after a 172 cup...
