well going by what you guys have said on here about the fule consumption on the 182 bening 300-330 to a tank i would say the clio is better on fuel than the mini as my mates cooper-s drank like amy winehouse on a good night
as for the cars then i am sorry but the mini wins hands down for build...
they dont even offer you what they go for on autotrader as i sent in several adds to try get more money for mine and they didnt listen

on the subject of claiming the council you can only but try but i would bet my last £ they will get out of it saying that they cant clean away what they dont know is there and that the bin liner could have only just blown onto the road

i too have been looking into the clio 172/182 and i do prefer the 172 but i dont like the wheels
but that one seems to have had the better wheels fitted
