The ratchet shouldn't move around without the clicking noise from the ratchet teeth. it's quire easy to remove in situ. There is a bolt onto a captive nut, this hold the ratchet mechanism in place. Remove the ball socket from one end of the pedal and the clutch cable. The ratchet unit will come...
Are you on Facebook ? There is a nav/co driver page. Also clithroe car club has a great membership many have done Mull and if you ask I'm sure you will find many willing. Good luck
I'll look out for you on Mull this year (if it runs) I missed it last year but did it before the last break in a Clio. Great car but I had a few issues which kept us back. I've done it 9 times and never had a clean run, always had problems which slowed us. Still that's Mull.
i don't know where...
When I fitted mine I kept the standard surrounding and went to B&Q to get some good mastic/glue. You will have to wedge the window into place whilst the glue sets but it is the only way. Good luck it’s actually quite easy.
Navs are getting hard to come by. I am lucky for Mull I have a great Nav but he doesn't want to do single venue stuff. I would try other clubs near as ther must be some more sensible people who want to give it a go.
There is a co-driver page on face book that might be worth a look.
I did Mull 2016 in a Clio. I used Spax . The rears were ok but the spring rates were far too hard. The car was jumping around like a kangaroo. I am about to buy progressive springs in an attempt to allow some more bump absorption and get some feel in the back end. I will keep the spring I have...
The re-shell has started. I am going to build a single venue car this time. Everything will be aimed at going quick around old airfields and chicane riddled racing circuits. All the old bits are ready to fit into the new Shell I just need to strip it and sort out the rear beam mounts.
I was looking back over previous Mull results and came across this from 1996!

The Back box is actually quite high and doesn't cause a problem on Tarmac.
We used 16" dunlops as I had 16" rims. In hindsight and an infusion of cash, 15" would be better. I have bought some post Mull and will fit them for the next event.
Well It's been a while and I think an update is due!!
Mull 2016.
Nearly a year has pasted since I got back from Mull and I thought I would give you a pen picture of the event.
We put our entry in at 7am on the day they opened and were entry 101. It seems they days of unfilled entries are gone...
Hi
I have done over 30 SV events plus 8 Mulls and in different cars. 4/rear/front wheel drive.
I built a Clio 172 and did a couple of events in it. I can honestly say they are a great car straight out of the factory.
My advice would be... Spend good money on the cage and seats, these keep you...
Some more pics of the car.
Standard engine and box at the moment. Money and time were against me. Improvements will have to wait until next year.
Spax adjustable suspension on Euro spec spring rates (circa 400lbs)
Sassa cage (walked through log book scroot's checks)
Motordrive Pro4 seats with...
