Hi all,
Dephaser on my 172 has started doing its rattling thing so needs changing, so time for all the belts to be changed as well as the water pump:(. My local trusted garage says they cant do it as they don't have the tools (more likely they didn't want to mess it up).
So can anyone recommend...
I am another one of those people that really like how the cup looked originally, but can appreciate the stripes etc. (wouldn't do it myself though).
Would be interested to see how you meshed the grill, was tempted to try something similar but never got round to it. Is the mesh just situated...
I am definitely considering switching back to Greenlight for my 172 this year (quotes permitting), the only reason I am not with them now was that when I renewed I could not protect 4 yrs no claims (with Admiral I could). I felt it was worth switching even though it cost me more for the year.
The wheel lock bolts were for my grale (reguired long bolts about 40mm long) and as the car is parked in an alarmed and very secure garage 99% of the time I didn't think over £30 was reasonable. Got a set of new McGards for £22 in the end inc p&p.
Anyone know a good place to get decent wheel lock nuts. I want a decent set similar to the McGard ones but don't want to pay the £30+ they are charging.
Thanks
Hi G18llo, I take it you are the same guy as on evoforum.
Classicline quoted me £470 this year, but they said that when I am over 30 my premium should shoot down. I am a bit worried about any insurance policy on the delta as I can't see the solextra glass being covered by their windows policy...
I am with Admiral for the 172, cheapest I could find that insure my mods and protect 4 yrs no claims (Greenlight only protect 5). I am 26 by the way and pay £700 for the Clio.
My Delta Evo 2 only costs me £350 a year on an agreed value (£13500), limited mileage classic car policy.
Most classic car insurers will require the car to be 10 years old or more to get classic car status.
However try classicline insurance on 01455 639000 as they do taylor made policies.
Also AON may be worth a try think number is 01483 706070 but have not checked.
Mine were originally yellow, but were a bit manky so I resprayed them blue with VHT brake calliper paint.

Use my 4 yrs no claims on the clio (now with Admiral),
The delta is insured with greenlight (they matched the no claims on my clio policy which was with them at the time), this was after a mixup with a classic car insurance scheme. Will be going classic car next renewal as they dont work on a...
