Nice one, does sound about right that pricing if they want to compete with Sky. I rang Virgin last week again and they know nothing at all re Tivo pricing and release dates.

Just says 'The new HD/3D set top box will launch alongside Virgin Media’s new TiVo-powered next generation connected TV service scheduled for later this year'... before xmas maybe ??
50mm bb, full TV package etc. Didnt really want to wait around for months until its launched.
Is it worth the wait ? .. and anyone know a release date ?
Thanks guys, a good few options for me to look at there!
Have to say I like the look of the Google/Postini offering with full email online. The 'Google Message Security' product also has the option to retain upto 10 years worth of email (sent and received) for £22.50 a user pa.
A small sister company we own has 12 people and they use messagelabs (£500 pa).
I came across this too ... http://www.ancoris.co.uk/cloud-computing/google-postini-services/google-message-security.html .... almost seems too cheap though starting at £6 per user pa!!!
Let me know what coretemp gives you across all 4 cores. It might be worth reseating my heatsink looking at your initial temps. Do you use the 'pea sized' blob in the middle of the cpu method with your paste?
This is purely out of principal. I'd rather spend £100 on my kids than with MS for something that is inherently faulty. Maybe a letter before action might give them a nudge?
Well I tried and failed ...
Sent a formal letter of complaint to head office in Reading and reminded them of their obligations as a manufacturer under the 'Supply of Goods and Services act 1982'. Got a phone call just now and she basically said tough politely, its down to 'wear and tear' and...
I think there is obviously some incompatibility issues with the smb protocol or afs, maybe apple have made some changes, then advised MS and they have said tough sh*t we are not changin our code ... or vice versa. Who knows?
Everything was fine with 2003 R2, and apparently MS dropped services for macintosh in server 2008.
I've trawlled LOADS of posts related to the same issues we have been having with 08 and 08 R2 ... and no solutions.
Weird thing is it works, then it doesnt, then you get a -36 error, then it...
