I've got the same problem on my mk1 172. Dont know is the tensioner problem or the engine.
Cam belt, water pump, aux belt, tensioner, everything had changed last year ( 62000 KM) Oil change last month and found no metal pieces in the oil. :S
Thx mate, any difference between the OE and the Genuine?? If no, i will go for the OE one as it is much more chaeper. ( I change the rear bearing and just run 4000+ Km and got the woo..woo... sound.., i must get a cheaper solution.) THX
I found my 172's rear bearing got problem (woo... woo... sound) :(
So i decided to replace them with the rear discs together.
Found that KTR track sport and genuie renault got the same price.

Recnetly i found that when i turn my steering wheel to the maxium turn, my steering pump will have a strange(kap kap kap kap kap..) sound appear . I had checked the steering fluid is enough and think that will the steering pump got problem.

Want to install some meter to monitor the water & oil temp of the Clio. But don't want to put all the meter on the dash board. It there any meter/ display can use the OBDII to real time monitor the water and oil temperature of the Clio??

I think that is what i'm talking about. The valve i mention was attached on the inlet manifold behide the throttle. It had a plactic tube conneting the air box pipe. THX
