    Further searching reveals abs 2port cylinder to be 20.6mm and abs 4port to be 22mm I have a 22mm 2port from a 106gti so if it fits i may aswell just use that... same spec as cup but just 2port

    :smile: Ah thats ok then. Timed engine up out the car.. Not run it yet. Then read that no1 was flywheel end... i'd used 4 Had a sweat on lol

    Thanks mate Another question... when locking the engine... is it cylinder 1 that needs to be at tdc? I believe this is nearest the gearbox?

    Looking at changing my bottom pulley to a lightweight one If i put the locking tools in and removed just the bottom pulley, am i likely to need to retension the belt?

    Yep defo different between the 172 and 182 lumps. Cant just swap the camcovers either as they are matched to the head

    does anyone happen to know the length of cat/link pipe required to join 182 mani to 172 system Ive ordered a link cat pipe but its not arrived yet and im starting to get worried as i have a trackday friday Need to knock something up just in case

    As above.. ment to stop car stalling at idle on full lock so likely you wont notice any difference
