in my dCi i get a average 65+ mpg,and if on a run it goes forever lol
£40 will always see over 500 miles and even pusj high 500's if i take a run to the coast etc..
Yeah colour coding both bumpers at minute, and yeah did it all myself wheels/bullets etc etc door strips i brought in d48 but will be spraying them and giving them some lacquer, just need to find some ext handles for sale so i can colour code them as well..
have sanded and sprayed dash...
Clear side repeaters and colour coded bump strips + white bullets...
Just after jacking up so does look a lil high ,will be lowering 40mm ..and have colour coded bumpers(just need time to fit them lol)
I used a lil flat blade screwdriver buddy on the corner of the flat bit of the insert(bottom)..take your time not to damage the gearknob itself ,pops out pretty easy..
Thanx owain182 i'll chuck some more lacquer on mine over next few days, make sure it bullet proof :)
if its still soft and you press on it hard to clip the diamond back in your gonna end up with finger print impressions and you'll be gutted you couldnt wait a day or so longer..it may be ok buddy just giving my opinon..
i'm same mate i was impatient when i refurbed my wheels but it paid off waiting for it to be a proper warm day before lacquering..the more time and effort you put in the better the results. :)
i've found i can bake my smaller stuff like bullets and gearknob insert etc n stuff in my snakes 4...
the more time you take the better the finish.. i normally prime one day...top coat the next then lacquer the next day then leave at least 3-4 days to harden before polishing/waxing ..
You have same as me the wiring on one side but you still need the loom that runs from there to the fog lights, mounting brackets, fog light stalk..
As far as im aware front fogs are not a mot test requirement so even if fitted but not working front fogs wont be tested, back fog light is on mot test.

Yeah once i baked the top coat ( well left...
Brought this off Jay.Lad (cheers buddy) for £5 to refurb in Nautical Blue
and here's the results,(after sanding,3 coats primer,3 topcoat,3 laquer..
pictures not great but really looks mint in the flesh..
Sorry to hear the cars gone, you've done the right thing though,it's better than doing a insurance job on it,we used to pick dozens up weekly(new/old cars trashed n torched)for insurance payouts.
i think they just auction them off for a fraction of what they're worth and you owe the difference...
