Thanks gents! It's completely standard bar an RS192 exhaust, cooksport springs and a snappy steering wheel. It even has the original mats (with single rear) and original front splitter.

All ready for the winter now! Washed, Iron-X'd, Washed again, Clayed, washed a third time then two-stage machine polished and finally given a coat of Dodo Blue Velvet wax. Really happy with the results, all the swirls are gone and it shines beautifully in the sun. Only just ticked over 56k miles...

Bloke, sorry you're quite right, it's not a circlip, I'm not thinking straight :S Chris, yep just checked, it's come off the other end. I'm such a muppet, it's so obvious. I just assumed it was somehow off the gearbox end. Time to jack it in and look at it in the morning!

Thanks Chris, that's really helpful. It's all back together now but I've just gone and checked the car and there's a drip of gearbox oil on the boot next to the jubilee clip, so I'll go and get the proper CV clips as you suggest. It looks exactly like your 2nd and 3rd images. The only snag is...

Yeah, the big driveshaft boot circlip, diameter is about 10-12cm.

Guys, I've had a really crap day with the Clio and would appreciate some advice. I've been changing the n/s lower ball joint which was a total b**ch and has taken hours. Despite my best efforts and trying not to let it happen, the driveshaft popped out of the gearbox and pissed it's gearbox...

Definitely would be interested in 2x mounts if you go ahead.

Silver 182, 55 plate near Shrivenham yesterday, you passed my whilst I was on road bike a couple of times. RB 182, 05 plate in Uffington today, stopped by the side of the road. Great to see another, it's been ages since I last saw one.

Mine took ages to get right! As above, I used the powerflex mounts in the original castings and several penny washers as spacers between them and the chassis and it now lines up really nicely. With the original hangars on there was no chance. My only gripe is the RH pipe sticks out 5 mm more...

How much should I ask for a full set of 182 cup springs? They're in really good condition and have done 45k miles.

Danny, it's not spec'd, they came as standard on the last of the FN2s made after late Spring 2010 until they finished production at the end of 2010.
