Free Parts (182 w/o) - Collection or Hand Delivery (Central London)

Hi, I know this is in the wrong forum, however, my membership has expired and with my car now written off and a sh*t payoff I will not be replacing it. Got some parts if anyone wants, MAP sensor, Crankshaft sensor, Air Filter, Jack and some Renault leathers. I am quite happy to give these...

    Crash with a lorry..

I kind of expected that, was my initial thoughts also. Seems like a bit repair job. I'd recommend staying clear, maybe going an extra lane away to go past! I'll be doing that going forward for sure..

    Crash with a lorry..

Y That's right, I was only creeping padt as the limit was 60 at the time. Was very lucky, Im happy to come out unscathed to be honest. Been reflecting on life a little differently today!

    Crash with a lorry..

Yes, it was damage from his cab. He has damage to the front right hand corner. The cab was red which helps, the trailer was blue so should be obvious to the insurance companies.

    Crash with a lorry..

I'm just looking for some input whether anyone thinks it could be fixable within an insurance claim. I'm not looking for driving lessons or opinions on how "bad" the crash was. Any other input is useless to me.

    Crash with a lorry..

Yes, got both - luckily a couple of police officers came and got the details for me. I didn't realise that lorries had two sets of plates so was happy they did that for me! Everyone knows the fast slow lane description. Though saying that I would have been better off hogging a lane!

    Crash with a lorry..

Sorry to disappoint. I'll try harder to get injured next time.

    Crash with a lorry..

European truck, not sure about cameras. He didn't speak very good English. I was passing him, he was on the slow lane and I was in the 2nd lane of four. He's pulled out to overtake the lorry in front of him and obviously didn't see me and hit me in the mid and rear so I must have been just...

    Crash with a lorry..

So it was a Spanish driver and lorry. According to the agent yesterday it's a nightmare to get these claims through. He admitted it was his fault to myself and the police. I also had a witness, so hoping it'll work out..!

    Crash with a lorry..

hi guys, I had a lorry smash into the side of me yesterday @ 60mph and almost spun into oblivion. Luckily I managed to keep hold of the car and not go under his wheel. I think it says more about the car than my driving.. anywho I've sent the pictures off to the insurance expecting a write-off...

    Replacing Shocks Under Warranty (Troubles)

Oh, and props to Mark Fish for ensuring it all the paper work was sorted in time and also with genuine concern. Hadn't done this before so was sceptical (as you can see above) but it was actually pretty straight forward but I would suggest this was down to good service on both sides.

    Replacing Shocks Under Warranty (Troubles)

Well, I must say I had a nice surprise today (and generally over the course of the week). Renault Toomey Southend were great! Everything was ready and they knew I had travelled a fair way, so ensured the car was first on. No issues at all. Really pleased, couldn't have asked for anything more...

I've managed to get the part ordered and they've agreed to do it on the day. Will see what happens tomorrow, fingers crossed.

    Replacing Shocks Under Warranty (Troubles)

Yeah - The parts were purchased from Renault themselves, I've got the garage to phone the dealer as apparently they need to inspect it first. I was hoping it would be a bit more straight forward.

    Replacing Shocks Under Warranty (Troubles)

Hi, I've had OE Rear shocks fitted recently @ a specialist. I've got a leak from one of the shocks and need it replacing. Apparently you can do this under warranty of the item itself as an OE part. Has anyone had this problem and resolved? Seems to be a ball-ache speaking to Renault directly.
