yeah, garage has had all spark plugs out and put back, had these out when he had the scope in there too. he`s ruled out bottom end bearings as he said it would be ny on undrivable and its not nowhere near loud enough to be them.
im just worried that one the cost of stripping the engine, and then replacing whats gone wrong. like i say ive had the cambelt, dephaser pulley and hydraulic lifters replaced and still no joy. At present this has stood me at 1200 quid and im not a bottomless pit and cant be spending money on it...

the garage has had the scope in the pistons and bottom end and say there is nothing worng on that side. they said that they are in good condition and said thats its top end
garage has done all the work so should this be a standard procedure to check these?. He`s told me to run it in for 200 miles to see if it quietens down but its not looking good. already spent loads on this with no conclusion. to say its getting me down is an understatement

looking to have the lifters done and renault have just priced me £300+. would these fit my 182. as the f4r in my 182 is the same from 2000-2002 barring the manifold isnt it. I could be wrong so thought id ask...
