My screen is loose at the bottom corner. To the left of the home button. It clicks like its not stuck down property when pressed.

Silly question but I have to ask. If I go to Genius bar and they replace it. Will it be a brand new one in an unopened box?

You could try heating it up for a bit with a hair drier and then holding it down for a minute or two, the adhesive probably hasn't bonded properly.

And I doubt there will be a vast amount of refirbs available for the 5 yet but who knows. You'd not know the difference anyway and can always reject the one they give you before you leave the store if you're not happy with it.

Take it back to where you bought it.

They have to replace it. After 14 days, then bring it to the Genius Bar and we will take a look,

I wouldn't worry about it. Just charge it when it needs charging.

The battery meter reports differently to the 4S, certainly a lot more accurate and runs further into the 10-1% zone than my 4S ever did.

My battery runs down and then I charge it.

Nobody on here is conducting scientific tests with exactly the same usage so it's pointless. It IS a better battery.

If yours is performing really really badly, take it back and get another one.

We received our iPhone 5 32GB's on launch day luckily, but my girlfriends one has issues.

They were sent to us by T-mobile.

Her iPhone5 has a small gap between the alu band and the top glass piece. Her screen has a faint line on it that goes blurry and grey and her speaker sounds odd.

Should I go to Apple to replace it, or call T-mobile to replace it as it hasnt been 7 days yet?

Any help/advice appreciated.

Either/or whatever is easier for you.

However i doubt tmobile stores are going to swap it as they wont have stock and even if they did i wouldn't be doing returns over new subs.

iOS 6 Facebook sync with contacts has got me a little concerned.

It's added people to my intact list under a new group that I didn't have on already, no problems there.

It's synced pictures and other info to contacts I already had. No issues here either.

My concern is that it's taken names and numbers from my phone book and cross referenced them on FaceBook as a whole and I've now got pictures for contacts that I don't have on Facebook.

Think ill remove my mobile off there as I don't want clients having a link to my FB etc. I don't think that's right at all with is checking against the entirety of FB.

True, but I heard that T-mobile gives you a warranty on the phone for the duration of your contract term (24 months) which is why you may have to replace it with them? Not sure it its true but thought I'd ask on here lol.

Thank you :)

it makes me laugh, people read a few peoples opinions on a forum and instantly think the phone must be s**t and has major problems. 5 million handsets have been sold already, where are the other 4,999,899 people complaining lol? People only comment about things on the net when it's to complain

Bingo.

Are you high?

After 14 or in Vodafone's case 7, if your device is faulty it's nothing to do with them and they'll openly tell you jog on, once you've signed up they don't give a f*ck.

No I'm not high, wish I was tbh!

It was just a question because of what someone told me. I doubted it was true but was worth asking.

Problem solved :)

Thats only on items at delivery though? and iirc the seller is responsible for those claims?

I think that in the first 12 months they have to prove it wasn't like that at delivery. Whereas the second 12months you have to prove it.

Apple don't really make you do anything for a warranty claim anyway. So if they are forced to stick to 24months then everyone will get a swap for 2 years.

Fair enough.

You can claim against warranty upto 6 years after i think, as long as you can prove it was faulty with the original period.

Thought I should ask in here:

If my friends phone isn't receiving iMessages but they keep sending from my phone as them (and delivering) can I change it to just send as text? Bit annoying atm.

I appear to have lost quite a lot of contacts when my number was transferred from O2 to orange. Has this happened to anyone else?

Is anyone else in the O2 "holding pattern"?

Pre-ordered your phone,
Being told it would be with you on release day,
Finding out now that it might be 3 weeks before you get it,
Seeing people walk out of O2 shops with their phones.
Thinking about cancelling contract and buying in store.

Seems a bit unfair considering monies have been taken and they broke a promise they knew they could not keep.

oh and the lightning connection is living up to its name, it transferred 25gb of music in very little time.

I was in meadowhall shopping centre on release day. Loads of phone stores had them in stock, you could walk in and get one there and then.

If I were you, I'd cancel and go get one from a store.

I agree, my local O2 still had stock on Sunday.

Placebo?

Unlikely to be that. If they were all on the sim then you'd lose them all, not just some.

Did you restore with an old backup or something? Contacts synced to Google?
