come to think of it may have seen you driving back? were you on the motorway going up/down to bham, and had 4-5 clios go past?

Hmmm nope, that wasn't me. Must have been another silver on 2118's. Fletch or Stunty, possibly. :)

Dammit, meant to look at what you'd done with your fogs/see how it looked with nothing there. Mine never get used and the one is starting to steam up so was tempted to remove them.

Oh, and ta for the pic dude, looks sweet.

Up close, it's not a particularly good look with just the holes; you can see into the bumper at the nasty plastic clips, moulding, etc. From a distance I'm happy with how they look though!

When my new fog light surrounds arrive, I'm going to try it with a bit of mesh.

With tomorrow off work, I'm planning to get a couple of bits sorted.

Fix/Replace snapped handbrake cable. :D

Replace dirty original heat shield with a section of Nimbus motorsport aluminium stuff. :D

Possibly fit aerocatches. :dead:

This thread is one of my main reasons to come on CS lol. Really want to see these aero catches fitted, love seeing "clean" cars with them rather than the usual sheds.

LOL I was expecting to see it fitted...

(Mine has been Test Driven now and the reports are that all is good and I am now wobble-less :D Just got to arrange to collect it now! Hopefully tomorrow, looking forward to driving it again and to seeing how much better it feels with a New gearbox and Clutch :D)

Scrap that LOL

The New gearbox from Renault has an issue with 1st Gear Syncro, so the car is now off ro Renault under the New Box's Parts Warranty!

I Love French cars, No really i do....

So what will Renault do regards the new box issue, have to take the box out again?

Well it's going to the dealership Wednesday, I guess all they can do is pull the box out again and order another!

If that's the case it's going to be another 7 - 10 days again.

Thanks for the kind comments, guys! :)

I'm not 100% convinced of the heat shield at the moment. It looks a little awkward from some angles and I'm not sure it extends far enough down towards the manifold. :eek:

Maybe I'll give something else I try regarding the heat shield...

That heat shield does look good from that photo though ;) I'm hopefully booked in for fitting my RS2 this Friday, I kinda liked that oil catch tank idea you had so I've been naughty and copied you!! :evil: Hope you dont mind. Do you know what was required to fit it (Pipes etc) and what sizes, then I'll order some ready

I've just been outside and adjusted the heat shield slightly, so it looks a little more visually appealing. It's just getting the edge to sit so it looks 'right'. I'm just being fussy!

The only thing I'm worried about are the pipes and loom that run above the manifold?

I didn't notice that one had fallen down earlier (literally 3/4 of an inch from the manifold) and the plastic trunking had melted into a pool of black liquid on top of the manifold! It must have been knocked when removing the original heat shield :eek: It's now securely fixed back where it should be thought!


Regarding the hose I used for the catch tank, I can't quite remember the exact size. I *think* it was 11-12mm diameter. I'll have a look if I can find the shipping note in my folder of car receipts/info. :)

Couple more. Actually, the more I look at the heat shield, the more I like it. :eek: I've decided I quite like it now. :rasp:

Just been able to look at the photos (Cant really see them to well on Iphone.

The catches and Shield look great, if i get my Fibreglass bonnet ill come up and you can do mine for me ;)
