No idea whatsoever, i've decided against big engine mods.

I think i'll pretty much leave it now, do some trackdays next year, visit the ring, then at the end of summer i may take it off the road to run something else for a while until I have decided what to do with it.

Over the next year I want to do donnington, silverstone, cadwell again, oulton again and dont know what will be my fifth yet.

Tiny update for today.

I was supposed to be doing a small service and fitting my dogbone mount bushes today but my uncle's pit is currently blocked by a stupid bed my cousin has ordered but not moved yet

Anyway, I still got around to getting on with some minor stuff, changed the air filter, went OE again since I dont think there would be a benefit from an upgraded panel filter. Old one wasn't even that dirty to say it had done about 10k.

Also got around to sorting out my steering wheel airbag resistors, for some reason the light was still intermittently coming on. After some helpful advice on here I bought some different resistors from maplins rather than ebay  and fitted them. Only difference is the thickness of the legs, these are slightly thinner meaning you can double up to ensure a nice tight fit. Secured them up with a bit of tape and the light is no more, only took it for a 10 minute drive to check but normally it would have lit within 2 so happy days!

Still bored I decided to sort out my speaker rattle.

About a year ago I was bored so bought some different speakers for the front, and tbf they dont sound any different to stock (although they were cheap, the guy in the shop (specialist, not halfords) recommended them). The problem was my car only has 2 threaded screw holes to hold them (which is strange because my old clio had 4). This meant they rattled, so I decided to make a little cardboard template to keep them fitting tight and rattleless :)

Not the neatest job, but its good enough for me since no-one will see them. It wasn't difficult but here is how I did it in 5 easy to understand pics :D

Nothing better on a Sunday than tinkering with something on the car lol

How easy was that sabelt wheel to fit mate, considering one myself as the standard one feels huge after the Golf! Lol

Very easy to fit. You just need to buy a boss for it. If you need a hand give me a shout :)

You will lose cruise though :(

Nice one cheers Mike, not too bothered about cruise though tbh, never use it hardly.

On a side note, your buckets, do they sit alot lower than the original ones? I'd forgot how high they are! Lol

I didn't think they were loads lower but when i compared them to ste's they were quite a bit lower. You planning on getting some?

Love the cardboard packer Mike, i did a similar thing by putting thick double sided tape behind each hole before screwing it back on.

sorry to be a pain but how do I do that?

Top right hand corner, click my settings. Then on the left side, scroll down and find paid subscriptions, then buy the new member one by selecting with the drop down box and clicking order :)

Lol, everyone asks that and i dont even have it anymore. Guy called Si on here used to make them, doesn't anymore but they often pop up for sale in the classifieds

It will get new suspension, but dont know when. Hopefully things will progress well and they will arrive sooner rather than later.

I dont want shitty cat d suspension though :rasp:

Least mine's not a girly colour.

What you going for?

Something thats still in development lol, but what i have heard about it sounds good.

I was going to go H&R but a few have suggested i dont, and this had got a good trader behind it.

Oh, and yours will fade to pink ;)

Little update, no pics.

Had an oil and filter change today, car runs so much smoother when it has fresh oil, i love changing it :)

Also, fitted my powerflex dogbone bushes. Not experienced any vibrations as some have suggested and it has definitely tightened up the gear change, more than i though it would too!

Thats it for today, camber bolts have arrived too so will get the alignment done again next week.

Sweet car you have their Mike with some nice mods, see your car all the time when I walk past your place with my dogs. I noticed the ARBs on the car the other day so thought I'd see if I could find you on here. Anyway I live around the corner with the blue R32

Cheers

So I said i'd never own white wheels again iirc

These wheels are so cheap compared to anything else 15" out there thats half decent. I gave up looking for F1's since every set on here is overpriced at the moment.

Anyway, these are my new permanent wheels, dont know what will happen with the reds, they will make the outing to Cadwell on 3rd April but after that may be sold :(

I was correct :) Awesome choice mate.
I'd get some if I could pull them off without needing coilovers.

:approve:

Been planning to get them since October, but decided to bite the bullet last week. Bought them direct from speedline, we get CS discount with them and they are considerably cheaper than buying them from balance or revolution :)

They will look great mate. Glad you got some decent road tyres too, instead of the ditch finder on choice on this forum the Spec-2

What you putting them on?
