I got 42mpg on the way down to KTec earlier on today.
Now I'm back and I've reset the trip computer, I'm getting 20ish. The exhaust sounds mint at WOT though, it's hard to resist

I believe some of these aren't genuine readings especially the 99.9 and 69 somethin.

I'm sure all of us could reset the counter, drive like a granny for a few miles and then take a picture of the first readout but what's the point?

Anyway I get a genuine 32 -36 mpg combined, highest I've seen it is around 40 on a run and lowest is about 29 after bouncing off the limiter a few times. Comparing these figures to that of a 1.6 16v there is virtually no difference which isn't surprising really considering the little difference in performance between the two.

Met you today mate!! Didn't realise you were on CS!

nobody ever says when they're coming down... I've been bored out of my mind today getting insurance quotes. Could have had a mini meet and compared our MPG figures...!

sac changing up at 2000 rpm!

36mpg is about the average in my 1.2 16v

The average speed is the one that lies! 40 minutes of 80mph up the M6, pull in at a service station and its saying 38mph :)

Finally. Another 1.4 owner who gets real figures. I struggle to get over 37 odd but generally get 32 and im tanking it everywhere.

In my 1.6 i used to get 24 max, but i did like to tank that. There is a performance difference tbh.

  Never above 25mpg

Haha sorry!! Got there at just past 11 o clock with R1XPH and willst for a few things! Met a kid with a 1.2 flamer with a 172 kit on and amphasite alloys and also saw Darren!!

Got my car sooo dirty though! Saw alot of snow too!

Also saw alot of chicken wire on a few cars :quiet:

How's the exhaust?

First impressions: Brilliant.
It's not too loud when cruising at 70 or less. Anything more and it starts getting a bit noisy, but I've found that's easily solved by turning the stereo up a tad.
At full throttle it sounds bob on. It's very loud though. I set a car alarm off going down my Mrs' road earlier on.
I love the sound it makes when starting the engine.
Highly recommended you get one :)

I reset my mpg today, drove a mile and then looked and it was 35.6, i stopped still as the longer i waited the lower i watched it drop, it literally dropped infront of me while stood still. It went down to 19.9 and then i got scared so turned the engine off. Whats going on ? was the on board comp having a fit or somthing or should i be worried somthing is wrong ? lol
