My TT QS

Re: My new car. TTQS

That's the pipe and O ring. Just need some oil and a filter. Might wait until the end of the month though. Ive been spending too much..

Oh and I didn't get their £30.00 sump sealant. WTF are they thinking?

Shouldn't be that much? £18 if memory serves. Granted it's expensive, but went with it based on replies from the AS.net lot.

Re: My new car. TTQS

Well after a weekend of rain forecast I didn't think I'd get chance to fit the tip over the weekend. Woke up Saturday morning to sun so got it fitted -

Managed to snap my N75 valve but luckily managed to get hold of the new revised version of mine. Havnt had chance to log the car but even the bum dyno shows it made a big improvement.

Lol I was expecting someone to comment. Takes no time to clean but where I work it takes no time to get dirty again sadly..

Well as I am sure you all saw from the other thread I had the wheels refurbed Friday. Was tempted by Black but happy I choose a OEM bright silver -

Agreed! Looks great!

Fitted my S2000 filter at the weekend. Sounds good and doesn't look three bad.

It looks fresh!

Yeah brings the paint up lovely. Just needs a proper clean rather than the polish special's its had in its time.

Thanks mate. Im chuffed with it and glad I didn't go black.

Which S2K filter did you buy? They seem to different colours depending on where you get them from. I might buy one for a giggle as its nice and cold out there at the mo.

Im tempted by an exhaust but my car has a specific system. £680 from Milltek. :(

I always think the TTs need an exhaust especially the 1.8. It' a special car missing sound aural pleasure!

That aside, it looks the parts mate, properly jealous.

I just went to Honda and haggled. £27 list price, greenish plastic with blue filter. Looks weird, but I honestly don't care. Worth reading the S2000 thread about heat. People have found 4g/s uplift over a heat shielded Jetex filter with a 3" TIP. Remember the filter goes to the turbo, so air temp is not really a factor as it will be heated up by the 150'c turbo anyway!

Need to come up this way dude!

Agreed, love to see the car, Tom.

Mine has started rattling when cold - Ant thinks it's the baffles at the rear. So looks like I might have to get on. Unsure on what route to take however.

I really do. Would be a laugh to come meet "The Unit" crew. Ooo we'll have to arrange a date.

Ah yes the green ones. I might look for a black one. Is it loud?

If you haven't got a heat shield all the TT boys buy these to go with the S2K filter - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/S3-A3-Air...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e86c9e2b6 - only £26.00!

Re: My new car. TTQS

Aye, fairly certain that's DaveS3 off AS.net - if you PM him being an AS.net member he does them for £20 delivered. In all honesty, if you want one, have mine for a few quid delivered. As my Jetex and H/S will be going on there later this month.

No no, the Jetex that I use to use before it became quite apparent it was messing with my MAF. I bought the kit as a whole from Bill, B5 V1 TIP, Jetex (which was replaced with their V2 filter as the necks broke on the early ones) and DaveS3's heat shield. Yet to log with the S2000. Should have done it on the way back from the TTShop, but was more interested in the weight difference of my wallet, after a £420 cambelt service :(

I see! Yeah do let me know how much you want for it all.

£450? Christ. At least you have peace of mind the lot has been done. How was the TT shop? All the TT owners rave about the place.

Yeah true. Yeah... OK. I mean, they did exactly what I asked without fuss. A bit cold on arrival and not chatty when asking about modifying the S3, but commented that it was jolly clean etc It wasn't the same user experience as AmD or Awesome where they keep you chatting, but if they've sorted everything (and were the most competitive on price!), I'm not sure that matters...!

I don't find AMD that chatty tbh and when they do it's often crap they want to be telling a clueless yoof so I end up raising the eyebrow.

You can do logging on the phone apps nowadays. Just get a Bluetooth dongle.

Probably as you're a S3 owner tbf..lol!

Anyway, if you want to sell your heat shield, let me now. Oh and a price on the jetex filter too whilst your at it.

TBH that's unfair of me. It was the lads there that made it a chatty atmosphere, having stuff done to their cars.

Drove one of these the weekend, for a potential replacement for the E46 M3.

Really really nice cars, yours looks a very good example. Keep it up!
