To replace or not to replace (shocks)

  Volvo S40
Hi all,
I'm fitting some cooksport springs to my 182 in the next couple of weeks and having looked through the history of my car, the rear shocks are ~30,000 miles old and the fronts have never been replaced in 11 years /99k miles that I can see.

I've found I can source new cup shocks all round for about £160, do you think it's worth doing even if the current ones are functioning ok? I realise the new springs will likely shorten the life of the Shocks anyway so I'm leaning towards yes but would value some other opinions.

Cheers, Jamie.

Yes, for the little price it is for new and piece of mind.

You'll be gutted it you fit the cooksports and have the tracking done only to have the shocks go a few months later and buy new shocks and have the tracking paid for again.
