ticking noise

got a horrible ticking noise from my engine coming from around the belts area does this mean they need changing? 68k miles on clock

When does it happen?
Mine has a slight ticking when lifting off throttle, dunno if its normal, seems to calm down when warm.

Mine sounded like that, the oil completely dried up and the engine seized. It never moved again.

Was it all the time? Did it sound like that vid?

Not sure as the video wouldn't load but it was constant, a really loud tapping noise that went faster as I revved. Not saying it'll be the same problem but it's worth checking!

Ohh thats alright, mines just a very slight tapping when lifting off throttle, coming from behind drivers light so i presume its the carbon cannister if 1.2s have one? :S

i changed the oil and filter and then it started making the noise but i put the same oil in i usally use and more ideas?

could be the carbon canister, located under o/s/f whhel arch.

This is the hydrolic pump and is normal. so ive been told..
