Took this last bight. Pissed off that I must have knocked the focus ring as the church isn't right. Also thought I was getting the north star in shot when I was setting up. Wider lens needed, so will be selling my other camera to fund I think.
Will be going back soon. Pretty cold last night

Not a bad effort mate. You have the basics right. You don't need a wider lens. Choose something a bit more interesting as fore ground interest. Something you can get a low perspective on to get as much as the sky in as you can.

I tend to go for small single objects like your car, a tree or small hut etc.

Liking that top one. Strange question, was the bokeh added after in PS on the first one? Looks like a narrow DOP but the fence post near the camera are in focus when I would have thought they would be out of focus.

Nothing adjusted other than a slight touch to my white balance and a crop mate.

I zoomed in at the large size on flickr and the post directly to the left of the car is in focus as you would expect. I think its a trick of the eye at the smaller size!
