securing sub on isofix bar

anyone tried to secure their sub to the isofix bar?

My sub box is a bit small and when cornering it keeps sliding left and right.

What have you done to secure it?

I do not want to use velcro tape

I used a piece of string in my old old car.

Just tied it round the box. Easy!

there is a question about the same thing i need it to do and the answer is

It will depend on the weight as they are designed to hold sleeping bags, cables etc,


Prob is the sub has no protection over it. I might have to sort that out as well.

Tesco sell these in black £3 for 2. Failing that just using one of these, hook it off the existing loops.

This is what i have in mind to do but i am also looking for better alternatives.

What i had in mind is some sort of metal plate bolted to the ISOfix bolt with some sort of hinges to hold the sub box and secure it to the isofix-boot net mount.

I hope it makes sense

I wouldn't recommend that, since a subwoofer needs to be secured properly. Otherwise it can cause serious damage or even death in an event of a crash

Velcro is definitely not enough to secure a subwoofer in case of a crash. Having the subwoofer not secured properly can cause serious injury or even death

Are they though? This is the first time I've encountered Sam the area rep i think - looks like the other chap might have been killed by his lose sub in 2019 too.

Yes but they asked the question 10 years ago mate. Since then people have mostly stopped fitting massive subs in their boots with velcro.

Have you honestly registered on here to let people know that using velcro to hold down a 20kg sub might be dangerous?

What alarm

i dont know anything about alarms, but think i need one, as scum is all around today. I was wondering if anybody could give me an idea on what to get. I would really like a normal alarm without too many feature but still have remote startup. Is this possible.....and how expansive is it going to be?
