Racing simulators

  Ford Focus ST
morning all,

Just wondering what racing sims you lot play on pc?

After a few weeks of looking I wanted another g27 wheel setup. Come home from work yesterday to an early xmas present of the girlfriend being a g27,
I have download and played assetto corsa and it's a great game. Debating on F1 2014. :)

Personally I think the two most realistic experiences are Assetto Corsa and Live for speed. Assetto wins for me simply as its the most recent and has licences for cars and tracks. Overall its the better experience.

I have a massive gripe with iRacing. Its got awful physics (you can save a slide by simply slamming on the brakes, this will straighten the car) and the licence scheme is just frustrating.

I think the simulation nirvana lies somewhere between AC and LFS - Bang on physics with lots of feel coupled with cars that are actually licensed rather than subtly modified so the devs don't get sued. And real tracks. Need real tracks.

Assetto Corsa, and still a bit of rFactor 2 for me.

I've never got on with iRacing, I've subscribed and stuck with it for a while then come back to it each year and still not liked the physics.

rFactor is a bit old now compared with AC, but lots of add on circuits and race series like the Clio Cup etc.
