Quick question when adding photos

How do you add photos via digital camera straight to a folder instead of iphoto? It's easy enough to add to iphoto but some pics i just want in a folder. On my MBP btw. Cheers

I always import them into iPhoto, then click on the "Last import" option in the menu on the left.
You can then do CMD + A to select them all, then copy them into a folder somewhere. I know this duplicates the photos but unless you've got gigs upon gigs worth it's always a good idea to have a backup of them in your iPhoto library.
If you don't want to make copies, just cut and paste rather than copy and paste. Simples.
