its a great shame as their kuro stuff is fantastic but they were moving panel manufacturing to panasonic but the plant that was going to do it has been delayed and with the current climate it seems they may vanish altogether also its vd players are going to be made by sharp now

I'm far from being a badge/brand snob, but I tended to look at Pioneer kit first if I was after anything.

Their TV's were far and away the best around, but with OLED around the corner, and intelligent multi-backlit LCD displays, I'm not sure how long they'd be able to maintain that margin for, a small player of the market if only by virtue of their price.

I'm sure they weighed it up, no company would willingly relinquish its hold on the market if it were still viable to do so.[FONT=&quot][/FONT]

Pioneer are great. A bit out of my budget but I like my Samsung.
