Mk3 Cruise Control query - Not in sync with speedo

I'm not sure if I'm being daft, but my speedo and cruise control don't match up.

So say I set the cruise control at 70mph, and the screen says so, the needle on the speedo points at 72mph.

Is this common? Is this a fault, or am I being a marde? I've had a search on here but can't find anything. The car is 100% stock, so no wheel size issues etc. (hopefully)

The speedos over compensate from factory so its fine how it is. Nothing to worry about.
