Hey Guys

Well . . . i basically need to sell my baby :'( as much as i dont want to im buying my own place and really need to, i hav NO idea how much i will get for it tho, sum1 plz help ! we buy any car r a rip off ! ha! no garages seem to wana buy it unless i get another car thru them sooo..... i hav no idea how much to put it up for ?
its a 59 plate Clio GT, 12,000 miles, few pics on my newbie post incase any1 has seen, it is lowerd atm but can obviously take them off!

Quick one for a new guy. Well, I ain't all that new - won't see 50 again! Anyway, a 2003 blue 172, 130000 miles, good history recent cam belt and tensioners, a/c doesn't work, one xenon out, couple of small dents in the body, wheels a bit scuffed, interior very good, steering wheel ok, no tax or mot (owner offered to do mot), all standard. HPI checks OK. 4 owners previously. Gizza value please?

Ok tell me what you think mines worth after spending all my money on buying and modding it in Decemeber :)

2003 172 Cup 66k miles
Timing belt and service completed
Body work good and wheels refurbed
Recaro seats
OMP steering wheel and quick shift
Scorpion back box
New discs and pads all round
4 new Conti sportcontact 3s
A nice new harzard warning button ;)


Then i'll tell you what i spent ;) lol

Mine going up for sale next week, so what do you think it's worth

2002 (02) 172 Black 70k miles
FSH with 2 previous owners (same family)
Belts done
Just had service (inc plugs brake pads)
Excellent condition (was machine polished and had all door knocks taken out late last year so looks nice and shiny)
Standard apart from Scorpion Exhaust and induction kit (I also have standard air box)
4 new Toyo T1R's Tyres

Ok, So how much do you guys think the 182 I just bought is worth...

Year: 2004
Colour: Silver
Mileage: 49k
Service History: Yes (1 gap, 4 stamps)
Condition: Excellent
Suspension Cup Pack
4 PE2 tyres with good amount of tread
Belts done at 47k

I'll tell you what I paid for it later ;)

Interesting thread... How about this...


  • 2002 'Imported' Iceberg 172 on 78,900 miles
  • Cup turinis with Eagle F1's all round, some kerbing to two alloys (standard 172 wheel as spare with contisport tyre)
  • Cam Belt Kit, Aux Belt Kit, and Dephaser done less than 100 miles ago by a specialist near to my home...
  • New Valeo clutch fitted less than 100 miles ago...
  • New engine mounts fitted less than 100 miles ago (Upper engine mount, upper gearbox mount, and powerflex dogone)... (lol bit of a theme starting here...)
  • OE Rear springs and shocks changed at about 76k
  • Full service history bar the last service, which I did my self (changed plugs and oil)... However it will be serviced by a Renault Specialist shortly (all services done at a renault garage expect the last three including mine!)
  • Bodywork in good condition, usual scratches for an 8 year old car
  • K&N panel filter, otherwise standard induction set up
  • Magnax cat back oval exhaust
  • New rear axle bushes fitted at 70k
  • Uprated 5000k Xenon bulbs
  • Refurbished headlight units
The car has had 6 owners including me, and its because there was obviously alot of work due on the car, which has all been done!!

Think that's all that's relevant... I am sort of just doing this on a whim really!! haha

Hi All,

Thinking about buying my friends Clio 172,

Its a Ph2 (I think as its got xenons, auto wipers etc) on a 51 plate,

Iceburg Silver, 88k miles

Had the cambelt done just before he bought it but no reciept!?!? so not sure what else was done at the time.

Prior to this lots of service history, a lot of it from renault,

Its overdue a service, and needs a wheel bearing and engine mounts need sorting.

I've been passengered in it a plenty times and driven it a couple of times and evertying seems to be as it should.

Bodywork and interior in good shape, bar the steering wheel is quite worn.

What you guys think its worth?

Iceberg Silver.
12 months MOT 6mo tax.
52k all genuine checked mot's online, no service history previous.
However, have history for rear brake overhall, full new exhaust, new aux belt.
Small amount of rust on right rear arch, over all good condition though...
60mm drop on springs with 15" TSW alloys with brand new tyres, HID kit fitted on dual optics (projector lens').

Hi All,

I'm thinking of selling my car. Description as follows.

Clio 182 in Black Gold with both Cup Packs.

- Date of first registered: 12th January 2005
- 2 former keepers
- MOT'd until 21st October 2011
- Taxed until 30th June 2011
- 53,000 miles
- Full service history
- Belts done at NW Performance about 5,000 miles ago
- New front discs & pads fitted about 3,500 miles ago
- Aircon re-gased last year
- New steering rack fitted last year
- New cat converter fitted October 2010

Car is completely standard and in very good condition.

I'm thinking of putting it up for sale at £4,250.

Does this sound about right?

I have the fabia splitter for the front but I just haven't got round to fitting this

Am I being greedy or does the price sound right?

I was on this forum a few months back and sought advice about selling my dads 2003 172 with 55k miles. The answers i got were varied, but most helpful.

Just thought you'd like to know, i sold the car for 3850. Not bad, and quite chuffed.

I think 6k is very top end- especially if the belts arent done?- 5850 with the original alloys would be a punt- less with the non standard rims

Hi all, Need to sell my Clio 1.2 dynamique to out towards my 182.
  • 2003 clio dynamique 1.2, 16v in silver
  • 40000 miles
  • Great condition inside and out
  • 1 year MOT and 6 months tax
  • Everything else standard, ie- alloy wheels, electric windows/mirrors, sunroof
  • Belts arent done :(

clio cup 2002 '52' 80k, all service stamps but no receipt if belts done, good condition all round, usual kerbing on alloys. Just got 12month mot on it can't decide whether to keep or sell for cheaper insurance as I only live 5 mile from work
