How Much is my Ph1 worth?

Hi, I hope this is okay to ask?

Unfortunately after over 8 years of owner ship the time will shortly come to sell my Ph1.

I bought it with 38k on the clock for £6k back in 2006. I am only the second owner. It now has £101k on the clock.

It is a pure phase 1, by that I mean it has the aluminium bonnet and the gear shift light both only found on the very early models. I believe this to be number 208 according to the stickers on it.

I have kept this in mint condition since I bought it. Only a few subtle mods;

• Genuine Renault 16" Oz F1's (on Michellin Exaltos)
• Genuine Trophy spoiler (Also has the shorter struts so that it doesn't hit the roof)
• Ph 2 Side strips, rear lights, rear boot (with the Renault Badge)
• H&R Coil Overs

2004 Liquid Yellow 107K Full history, belts done this year by specialist, apex springs, ktec style induction, cup turinis with toyo t1r's, always been serviced and looked after properly! Any ideas?

WHATS MY PH1 WORTH GUYS?

Just testing the water....Change of personal circumstances and possibly going to spain for summer.

Ive spent a fair amount of time and money on this car, more than its worth, and its now what I believe to be a decent standard track/fast road car, not only that its pretty tidy in general for a car of its age. Its not seen the bloody track yet!

Spec;

Engine/exhaust;

Phase 1 172 engine on 90k - cambelt, water pump @ 8000 ish miles ago.
Matched inlet manifold
Enlosed filter in p1 airbox
BTB s/s stealth exhaust system
Yozzasport decat


Suspension/brakes;

Blistein B14 Coilovers (fitted 2014)
Fully Polybushed front end and dogleg
Whiteline anti roll bar
Original Oz F1 wheels in anthracite - uniroyal rainsport 2s + x1 spare oz f1 in boot.
Brembo high carbon discs - Ferodo ds2500 track day pads.
Braided brake lines, abs removed with adjustable willwood bias valve in car.
Brake cooling ducts via front bumper foglights


Interior;

Bolt in half roll cage
Sparco Pro 2000 lightweight bucket seats
Sabelt 6 point harness for driver/ Sabelt 4 point harnesss for passenger. Aircraft buckle releases
Sparco suede dished steering wheel
Manual window conversion
Interior plastics and all sound proofing stripped and removed to save weight


Exterior;

Plastic for Performance Perspex rear window with stripped out and lightened boot
Cup towing eye
Clear side repeaters


The car drives so well, its tighter than new due to the whole suspension refresh, and it flys due to the weight loss. Very capable car imo.

Now the downsides, despite the cambelt being done, the deprasher wasnt, and its now started to rattle when its upto temperature- its not affected anything other than its an annoying noise at the traffic lights. It has a short MOT, 2 months without checking, cant see no reason why it wont pass. Excluding the decat and dash lights, so not really a problem.

Car has 5 months tax and its ready to drive away.


I have an idea in my head what I would accept, Id want at least 2k with the deprasher etc done, but would like to hear peoples thoughts on value as it is? If the price isnt right then I will keep it stored..ill stick 12 months MOT on and get the deprasher etc done.

I have to agree - sell your 'extras' on and the car in stock form.

What's the interior like?

Been offered a 2003 172 for £1100 as follows;

110k miles
Full Renault history upto 70k, no history since
Needs cambelt and the usual (aux, water pump etc) last done in 2007
Exterior is fair condition
Interior is shagged
Exhaust is blowing and needs replacing
Tax and mot'ed until August 2014
Drives okay, few rattles and a knock from the suspension at the back maybe?
all tyres and good but poo brands on different corners!

What do you think? I'm tempted as they'll give me £500 for my little 1.6 ph2 which is a cracking price....

I looked at one last Saturday for £1200. It was scruffier than yours but mechanically very good. I'd say yours is worth £1500 or so IMO.

Hi All,

Looking to upgrade and the time to sell my 1.2 has come. I would really appreciate some help as to what this car is worth.

Bought October 2012 with just shy of 55k on the clock for 1650.

Passed MOT earlier today with 2 new front tyres, balls joints and ABS reluctor rings.

Mods I have made:

67k on the clock. 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] official owner, first and second owners were partners and transferred before selling so I am the second home.

Full sport half leather interior including metallic door handles inside and non plastic outside.

172 front bumper with custom fitting carbon fibre splitter (splitter cost me £120 new)

172 rear bumper

172 wings and side skirts

Sport grill

Kei Racing 7.5jj 17” wheels reprayed.

Adjustable coilovers (no idea which will find out before sell)

Minor changes: smoked side indicators. Renaultsport tax disc. Elf sticker removed from rear window. Brand new windscreen at 58k miles due to crack when purchased





(only picture I have of rear, am at work at the moment can't take a current one. This was before lowering)


In the real world I would like about 1600-1700 for it but could be asking too much. It is an honest car and drives lovely. Looking for price opinions

Not 100% sure on the price as I haven't looked at the value of these for ages but I think those wheels will put a fair few people off as they don't look standard.

Flog separately and put 172 alloys on.

It is low mileage so your price seems about right, advertise at £1700 and take £1500
